No Boost Gauge.
No need to gouge out all of Perfect Dark Gaia's eyes.
Heck, no dreading ring draining.

I had to deal with all of that, and it was a total NIGHTMARE! I've got Game Over after Game Over on that thing, and... good lord, it was a mess.

What do the HD crowd have to worry about? Beating up snake tentacles (you think of a better name!) to break a shield. After a little cutscenes, you just press a few buttons, and you beat Perfect Dark Gaia. THAT'S IT! NOTHING ELSE!

But what am I saying all of this for? Watch the video, and see for yourself.

I'll move on to my current Platinum team:
-Amitie (Female Monferno)
-Rosamo (Female Buizel)
-Ace (Male Pachirisu)
-Seren (Female Glameow)
-Strenko (Female Shinx)

The last two... remember that little trick I wanted to do with the GTS but couldn't? Well, I was hoping that someone would be kind enough to do a three way trade with them (since I've bred them in Pearl). Luckily, one of my Skype friends that I know on YouTube helped me with this. He got a Turtwig from me (thanks to the GTS and good old fashioned breeding), and Seren and Strenko were welcomed with opened arms in Platinum. There's also the fact that one had a Heal Ball and the other had a Luxury Ball which I wanted to catch an obvious must-have on the list, but that's not important.

Seren and Strenko currently have the disobedience syndrome due to being traded (which can be horribly inconvenient), but I don't care.

I'm currently wondering what the sixth slot should go to. Probably someone that can back up Amitie at the next gym in case Strenko gets all "Ice Fang? Forget about that! I'll do whatever I want, so buzz off!" on me.

Amy Rose!
I'm not sure whether or not I'd want to come Trillian or Skype tonight, though (especially since I have some cleaning to do).

This is going to take some time to get over (if I ever get over it at all).

In the meantime, I'm sorry if I'm worried anything.

Hopefully, the next entry I write will be a little happier.

Things I want to mention

Ida-chan and Popoi!
First and foremost, I won't be online until either tomorrow or Friday due to recent events (which were mentioned on a friends-only entry). I'll be on Skype tonight but only to trade Pokemon with one of my YouTube friends. (Concerning Pokemon, though... Falzar, if you're online on Friday night, I'll have a little something for you.) After that, I won't even have the computer or laptop on.

[info]underthepale, if you want to call me during this time, you're more than welcome to do so.

Other minor stuff )

I don't know what I should say...

Purugly seems worried...
EDIT: Portion of entry removed. It was pointless, so you haven't missed anything.

Moving away from that, I have a favor to ask of those who have either Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum. I'll tell you the details when I come online (which will be around 5:30 or 6pm my time). I already have two people in mind for this, but I haven't seen Monty Eggman in a while, and the other one... I don't think we'll be talking for a while (though I really hope we can put all of this behind us). So, yeah. If you have two Pokemon to spare, let me know.

And for the heck of it...

And here's a little extra.

Seems appropriate due to my recent video. ;-)

A couple of things I want to share...

  • Jul. 7th, 2009 at 1:31 PM
Ida-chan and Popoi!
-Finally got all the treasures in The Legendary Starfy! Now I'll be working on getting a fast time on the Boss Run...

-Playing emulated games on one of those PC joypads (specifically a Logitech Precision) is SO much better than playing on a keyboard (though I'll continue to play on a keyboard with a couple of emulators out of laziness).

-Have a bit of Spring cleaning to do today. It's been overdue, so... yeah.

-August = surefire month to take driving test. That, and I'll be back to looking for a job again. That huge amount of money isn't going to last forever, and I have quite a lot of stuff I want to get (and I doubt I'll run out of room at the rate I'm going).

-For those of you getting sick of all my gaming and YouTube related stuff, rest assured: I'll probably write a little something this summer if laziness doesn't take over. XP

That's pretty much all.

I'm HOME! X3

Pachirisu!
Well, I'm back home. First things first...

Pokemon Platinum friend code: 3008 6095 8982. Feel free to add me if you want.

Now, for my plan of getting around the Glameow issue, I was planning to go on the Global Terminal in Platinum and get if from there. I was hoping I could trade one that I've bred in my Pearl game, but right now I'm wondering why I'm not showing up in Platinum. I've tried trading a Shinx to myself via the GTS, but... yeah. Didn't see my entry there. Oh, well. I'll figure it out later.

The reason I'm going through this? Three things:

1. Ice Fang is an AWESOME move to have on Luxray.
2. Glameow. DUH.
3. One is equipped with a Luxury Ball and the other with a Heal Ball. Why I'm attaching Pokeballs to them? The answer's in my icon.

But I'll look into it later. Right now, I'm gonna to take a nap.

Oh, and to the person who made this video...

I'm so going to get you... and I'll be working on it (hopefully) tonight. ;-P

...

Well, either that or play Bust a Groove. Whichever comes first.

Random entry...

Would this be a good idea? Or even this?

Just something that came into my head. This isn't the first time I wanted to find a way to improve my vision, though. I'm sure I'm not the only one who play console video games with glasses (well, that and driving), but it'll be nice not to be near-sighted anymore... especially since it caused quite a few problems while I was at school.

Of course, considering how long I am at the computer, it's going to take quite a while for results, provided that I get any.

Come to think of it, does anyone on my friends list (and other people that I know) besides me, [info]underthepale, and [info]kariohki wear glasses? Or even contacts for that matter?

Well, you have about eight hours to answer that since I won't be around. ;-P

So, the other day, I went to a place called Power Play, and it's SO much better than the other arcade I've went to. I mostly played the Simpsons arcade game and Tetris, but I've also ridden go karts and played a few games to get some tickets. I'll be going there again tomorrow.

Aside from that, not much has happened over my vacation. I'll be at this place called Worlds of Fun all day this coming Saturday, so don't expect me to be online. I'll try to leave you with something, but I doubt it'll be big. XP

I've been playing Starfy as well. I've got all the treasures from the first three stages, and I'll be working on Sogwood Forest sometime today. It's a rather fun (though easy) game, and I hope the others will make it in the states soon. I'm thinking about playing the other Starfy titles as well. Seems like a fun enough series.

As for Pokemon... I'd play more Platinum, but Verizon's WWAN won't work with my DS, sadly (which makes me think I should get one of these just in case I run into another situation like this while on vacation). That's kinda sad because I've figured out a way to get around the Glameow issue (especially since I had my first battle with Team Galactic) and taken the steps necessary to get one.

I'm also considering writing a little something (probably be some random Team Muyo or Dractice Sharucon bit or even something unrelated) for the remainder of the time I'm here, but I doubt I'll get around to it. But then again, you never know. I DID write a little something in February, but I won't release it publicly. At least not yet. Hey, I can't talk about video games ALL the time, you know!

Oh, and since almost everyone and their mother knows about Micheal Jackson (I sure do), I figure there might be some souls who has heard about this.

Finally...

I loved this commercial. X3

Starfy broke my brain...

Meoooow...
Actually, it was his sister, but he's still getting some of the blame!

Anyway, there's this little feature in The Legendary Starfy called "The Moe Show". No, it has nothing to do with girls, so get it out of your heads before I do it for you.

Back on topic, Moe (better known as Kyorosuke in Japan) interviews Starly (Starfy's sister, not the Pokemon). Starly talks about how she does all the work in Pufftop while her brother either goes on adventures or takes naps. One of these things is... watering the clouds.

...

I understand that Pufftop is a kingdom of clouds, clouds are made up of water (or at least that how I think rain comes into play, but correct me if I'm wrong), and it's Japanese name (Tenkai Palace, meaning Sky Sea Palace) backs up the fact that there's water in several places of said palace...

BUT STILL! WATERING CLOUDS!? WHAT THE--

*explosion followed by screaming, melting faces, maniacal laughter*

Beaten Starfy and cleared the bonus stage. The bonus stage appears to take place during that bit where Starfy, Moe, and Bunston are shot into Sogwood Forest. Why? Because you play as Starly, Starfy's sister, and have to take care of a ruckus on Pufftop that will lead to the bit where Starly reveals to Snips, Ronk, and Papes about Bunston's current location.

On the subject of Snips, Ronk, and Papes; I just have one question: WHAT. THE. HECK?

It wasn't obvious at first, but let's dig deeper into this.

If the neither names themselves nor the following weren't revealing:

"Sharp... like old cheese! SNIPS!"
"Heavy... like mama's meat loaf! RONK!"
"Wrapped... like an angry present! PAPES!"

I've forgot the rest of the entrance speech, but back on topic...

If neither one of those tell you what's the deal with Snips, Ronk, and Papes... then the fact that, at one point, Starfy getting owned by their "forbidden technique" and wind up having to play a messed up version of "rock, paper, scissors" will.

And guess what? Ronk has rock, Papes has paper, and Snips... well, you get the idea.

I don't know whether or not to laugh at you, so I'll move on.

I went to this arcade at a casino, but it has nothing of my interest in terms of games. I DID play a little of Ms. Pac Man, but... yeah. A lot of shooting games and a couple of DDR. *sighs* I guess arcades don't appear to be of variety. Here's hoping this Power Play place will have a better selection.

Finally...

I was thinking about a match up like this the other night, and... WOW. XD

Oh, and [info]xlillyflowerx? Expect a little something from a friend of mine on your birthday. ;-)

Pachirisu!
After four months, I've FINALLY. STARTED. POKEMON. PLATINUM.

So far, I've got my first badge and have two Pokemon that evolved... all in one day!

My current team? Monferno (Amitie) and Luxio (Strength).

I'll play some more later (and get my Pachirisu). Unfortunately, I don't have a friend code because my aunt's Wi-Fi doesn't seem to want to work in my favor (and for the record, I'm using Verizon to be online on my laptop).

Aside from Pokemon, I just got done with playing more Starfy, and I've made it to stage 8-2. I'm sure I'm close to the end.

So, yeah. Semi-useless game update. No biggie. I'm getting the feeling that I should get back into New Super Mario Bros, though.

Well, the wireless situation has been worked out, so I'll be online during my vacation. Yay!

In the meantime, I played more Starfy and now at Stage 6. The cutscene before that shows me that there's more to Bunston that meets the eye, but knowing me, I'll spoil the ending for myself because that's what I do. XD

I also have to say...

Easily one of my favorite tunes in the game.

Right now, I'm using my aunt's computer because I'm hqving a lot of trouble getting on wireless with mine. I'll try to find SOME way to get on mine, but if not then... I guess you won't see me in a week.

Anyway, I've played The Legendary Starfy on the plane ride here and made it up to the second world. Starfy's such a cutie, and I can see why his fans wanted the little guy to get more love.

Hopefully, the next entry will hopefully be done on my laptop in about 24 hours or less.
