Hey, who's behind me? | NEXT!

All right...

Ida-chan and Popoi!
Was really exhausted today, and it really doesn't help that I won't be getting that much of a break either. I don't feel like giving out the details, but I am going to say that I'm rather mad at myself for being on Trillian out of boredom and should've stuck with not going on until after winter break (or when I get done with the GWIC Magical Drop episode).

Moving right along...
I'm finally at the Pokemon League... or the area where the entry of Victory Road is. Getting my team up to level 50 is going to be pretty tough, especially with as many Pokemon I have available. Here's the list with some details about 'em.

Vanilla (Female Persian)
Item: Amulet Coin
"Often dozes off"
Current moves: Slash, Faint Attack, Pay Day, Screech

One of my main "gotta have" Pokes. Pay Day and Amulet Coin is a novelty of mine with all the Meowths/Persians I had in the past. Other than that, Vanilla can hold her own. She did what she could in the Ghost-type gym, and I'm expecting her to put on a show against Lucian.

Ichigo (Female Delcatty)
Item: Luck Incense
"Strong willed"
Current moves: Return, Faint Attack, Heal Bell, Charm

Delcatty is another must-have Pokemon of mine. During the times where there was no way to get Meowths in Ruby/Sapphire (aka "The Pokemon Games that Ruined My Life"), a Delcatty used to lead the way and following in a Meowth's footsteps as best as she could. D/P pretty much helped me with the new Luck Incense (added money bonus!), but Ichigo isn't all that different from all the other Delcatties I had. I'm sure her mother in Hamtareon's game would be proud.

Sala (Female Purulgy)
"Likes to thrash about"
Current moves: Shadow Ball, Slash, Hypnosis, Captivate

Ah, Sala, one of my guilty-pleasure Pokemon (though not so much on the same level as Puyo Puyo Fever and Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary was). Being one of the two actual outsiders of my team, I had quite a lot of problems (specifically, disobedience), but those problems have cleared up for good. Like Vanilla and Ichigo, she's one of my obligatory Pokes in the sense that I simply had to have her. I'm expecting her to take over for Vanilla and Ichigo in case they croak against Lucian. Once this whole Elite Four thing is over and I get Pokemon Battle Revolution, she, Vanilla, and Ichigo will lead their own sets of teams (meaning that I need to get another Poke and even things around after this).

Strength (Female Luxray)
"Somewhat stubborn"
Current moves: Spark, Ice Fang, Crunch, Charge

Looks like nothing in the Elite Four stands out for electric Pokemon, but that doesn't mean Strength (and/or Thiana) won't get any screentime. Strength helped me a few times (though not without support) and can be a force to be reckoned with in some areas.

C-mond (Female Beautifly)
Item: Big Root
"Alert to sounds"
Current moves: Bug Buzz, Giga Drain, Safeguard, Stun Spore

C-mond's awesome. Came through when I needed her in Gym Battles and in those Team Galactic battles. Beautifly vs Beautifly was just too fun... at least, until I made C-mond forget Gust. Oh, well. Sala vs the Puruglies were just as fun. Back on the subject, it's a shame that C-mond won't be as much use against Flint. Oh, well. There's always Bertha (and I'll be using C-mond in my battle with Aaron at least once for the heck of it).

Judgement (Female Staraptor)
"Alert to sounds"
Current moves: Aerial Ace, Quick Attack, Whirlwind, Double Team

Normally, I'd dump early Flying-types (unless I have absolutely no idea what kind of team I want aside from my usual favorites), but Judgement was a keeper. Great help early on, and she's generally pretty powerful. She'll likely to be around to face off Aaron (and anything else she can handle). *imagines a Staraptor doing Judgement's win pose in MD*

Raffine (Female Empoleon)
"Mischievous"
Current moves: Surf, Flash Cannon, Whirlpool, Fury Attack

Good thing I decided to go for a female Piplup again. It was worth it (though I feel that the moveset needs some cleaning up for the Elite Four). Definitely can handle Flint... and MAYBE Bertha in case C-mond falls.

Schmitt (Male Milotic)
"Often scatters things"
Current moves: Surf, Recover, Twister, Refresh

Same areas as Raffine except he's capable of a lot of hits. At least, from his awesome Special Defense. Like Raffine, Schmitt can handle Flint and can back up C-mond against Bertha.

Dirtcake (Female Skuntank)
"Somewhat vain"
Current moves: Flamethrower, Night Slash, Toxic, Screech

Aside from her personality being pretty spot on to her soon-to-be Team Muyo Perfect counterpart, having Dirtcake was an interesting experience. Against, going up against the Team Galactic Skuntanks with Dirtcake is fun. Another Poke to beat up Aaron. ;-)

Schezo (Male Floatzel)
"Impetuous and silly"
Current moves: Crunch, Ice Fang, Aqua Jet, Agility

For those of you who are wondering and are too lazy to plan some time to ask me in person, I'll explain the name behind this one. There's a running gag involving Raichu's soon-to-be high school classmates in Team Muyo Perfect: a Floatzel who is obsessed with Schezo. How obsessed, you ask? Obsessed enough to have the school (and the world, she hopes) know she'll marry him one day and killing Arle in the most brutal way possible because, in Floatzel's view, she ruins Schezo's life (Carbuncle's on that death list too because he ate Schezo's sword). SuperDanny, Chacusha, and UtP (among a few others) know this gag pretty well.

Moving away from Team Muyo, Schezo did a good job on the times he's been on my team, and I'm sure he'll serve me well while I'm at the Elite Four.

One final note: if you haven't notice, Schezo is labeled as "impetuous and silly". Pretty much dead on, don't you think? ;-)

Ms. Accord (Vespiquen)
"Somewhat vain"
Current moves: Attack Order, Power Gem, Heal Order, Confuse Ray

Took me forever to get this one, but it was worth it. A healing move, Confuse Ray, great defenses (especially in Special Defense), and a move to ward of Fir-types? Make her a bit faster, and I'll be happy. Only been on my team a short time, but let's see how she'll fare in the Elite Four.

Aqua (Female Gastrodon)
Item: Quick Claw
"Good endurance"
Current moves: Surf, Mud Bomb, HP Ice, Substitute

A worthwhile stowaway. Helped me in gyms and only has one weakness. I'm sure she'll be of help in the Elite Four and future battles.

Bongo (Female Hippowdon)
"Good endurance"
Current moves: Earthquake, Crunch, Thunder Fang, Yawn

Like Ms. Accord, Bongo hasn't been around for a while, we'll see how she'll fare in the Elite Four. Should be good against Flint, and Thunder Fang and Crunch should help when I need it.

Punkrock (Male Gabite)
Item: Smooth Rock
"Sturdy body"
Current moves: Take Down, Dragon Claw, Dig, Sandstorm

Again, hasn't been around for a long time, but boy did he help in the last Gym. Flint has better watch out! ;-)

Kain (Male Blaziken)
"Somewhat vain"
Current moves: Blaze Kick, Night Slash, Double Kick, Bulk Up

I almost never go anyway without Kain (or Opa). Ever since I got the third badge, I always use 'em both (if not one or the other). Kain should wipe Aaron clean.

Opa (Male Infernape)
"Highly curious"
Current moves: Flamethrower, Mach Punch, Torment, Taunt

Same as Kain, but more powerful.

Thiana (Female Pachirisu)
Item: Light Clay
"Sturdy body"
Current moves: Discharge, Super Fang, Light Screen, Charm

Say whatever you like, but Thiana was great. She delivered the final hit in the second gym, handled the fourth gym (or part of it) pretty well, and recently did a nice job against Octillery in the last one. I'm sure she'll make me go far. Plus, she's a Pachirisu! How can I NOT love her? One day, she'll avenge Tantan's Pachirisu. I still stand by my comment of Pachirisu winning.

Now, getting ready for Victory Road...

As far as the HM portion goes (can't you make a Victory Road WITHOUT all these HM requirements?! Like it was in Gold/Silver/Crystal? I don't care what everyone says; it drives me nuts!), a Bibarel I had (Cello), should serve me nicely here. The other five Pokes will be my cats (no surprise, since there needs to be a point where I need to spend a good long while with 'em), Judgement to handle the fighters, and for everything else Judgement can't take, Aqua (Water/Ground type who conveniently knows Surf) should help. So, yeah. I'll be concentrating on those five on Victory Road.

Now, as for the Elite Four... well, I've yet to get through 'em on a first try in ANY game, but to make things easier...

Aaron - Judgement, Opa, Kain
Bertha - C-mond, Aqua, Raffine, Schezo
Flint - Same as above but take out C-mond and put in Opa and Kain
Lucian - Vanilla, Ichigo, Sala, Dirtcake
Cynthia - In the words of the Steward family in Hannah Montana, "Sweet nibblets". Yes, due to the various typings, I can't decide.

I know you're sick of hearing this, but I have SO much work to do. Got to set up two types of teams here... and three after this. -_-;

Moving away from Pokemon (or in the case you ignored the Pokemon cut and clicked here, going in to Team Muyo), I'm worried that I'm losing any motivation to work on this series any more. I blame what's been going on, but this is a bad thing. It's almost a year when the pilot episode is up, and I'm just working on episode 3. Perhaps it's a branching out of interests, but losing in interest in Team Muyo is the LAST thing I want. I pretty much promised myself to finish it all the way no matter what (and it later became a personal obligation, especially with what happened with HMW, which sorta makes me weary to trust Team Muyo to anyone but myself and a few select people), so I really need something to get me back into doing this series. In fact, I think I should can my other fanfic projects (and limit Ida-chan to either once a month or once every two month) so I can actually get some stuff done for this. Considering my YouTube stuff and my school life not letting up, I don't think there's an excuse to even bother thinking of anything else.

So, yeah. Don't worry. Whether I want to or not, Team Muyo WILL be finished all the way... and this time, it won't be just the canon series either. It's going all of Team Muyo (including the mini-series). Yeah, it's a lot of work, but I want to finish it before I die at least.

Now onto something that's in the series, I sorta noticed that I put in a bit of time traveling in the series (but only among Calumon, Chirubi, Feli, and the spoiler point), and I will admit that even I got confused in some areas while trying to make a timeline to organize it all.

Kinda makes me a bit worried that I thought so far ahead that I'm blank on what's actually going on. I mean, I have the whole story (at least the main plot of the first series and part of the second) planned out all this time, and yet I'm stuck on episode 3. I hate my lack of motivation... XP

Oh, and this totally kills any hope I have for my Yin-Yang themed character in Team Muyo Perfect (who will get an arc to herself at one point in the series while Team Muyo wind up being in exile and sent somewhere in the Land of Inquity without their powers). This pretty much proves that ANY attempt that I make to be original will be shot in some form. Yes, I know nothing's original anymore, but YS's comment still hurts to this day and I strive to have SOME originality. And if nothing's original anymore, how come there are people cramming it down our throats by pointing out rip-offs (though some of 'em are true, mostly in Sega's case with Sonic Next Gen)?

...

You know what? I'm getting sick of worrying about this stuff. I think I should at least try to clear up my case when the time comes (unless said person actually knows what he/she is talking about and has solid evidence to back him/her up that said character/plot point/whatever in Team Muyo is a ripoff). I mean, I proved that I'm capable of standing my own ground, right?

Either way, though, expect me to focus on Team Muyo a lot.

Finally, I know most of you are against these forums, but at least try to hear me out on this.

Overtime, I had a couple of ideas of something I could pretty much do while supporting the overall cause of improving the Sonic games (and there will be more than voices involved in this, so this is more than just some anti-4Kids stuff). Here's what I have (copied and pasted from the topic I made):

Idea 1: This has been in my head for quite a while, but it's more of an expansion on something I made. I thought about making small comics about Sonic-Ohki (the blue cabbit in the picture) and his friends trying to get Sega to make good Sonic games again. It'll start off with the voices, but it'll get more and more complex than that. The problem with this, however, is that I can't draw all that well (in fact, that Sonic-Ohki picture was pretty much traced from a Ryo-Ohki pic), but I'll work on that problem provided that I don't procrastinate.

Idea 2: A bit easier for me, but I tend to put this off as well: I thought about putting in some of the members from here into an episode of my little fanfic comedy among my friends known as "The Lunacy of Ida-chan". The episode will involve a tennis tournament with teams Save Sonic and Puyo (and since this whole forum's dealing with Sonic Team, I'll be using the Fever characters), and all insanity will break loose.

So, yeah. My ideas. The second idea seems much more likely, but I wouldn't count the first one out... at least not right away.

Oh, and don't worry about the Compile cast. I'll make it up once I talk with Rhade about Smash Puyo Brawl. Now if only he'd hurry up and deal with whatever kinks keeping him from using it (but take your time, okay, Rhade?)...

No Friday Shuffle for this or next week due to what's going on.

And this concludes the entry that took me over two hours to write.

Na no nya. Meow... @_@

How will you swap in different Pokemon? You unfortunately can't.

If you lose to the Elite Four you start over... And if I recall correctly, there aren't any PCs during matches.

You should just take the Luxray, Staraptor, Infernape, Gabite (Evolve it into Garchomp), Milotic, and Hippowdon/Skuntank. (Skuntank should know Explosion.)

Btw, your Staraptor should know Close Combat and Brave Bird, you'll need it.

If you took any of the other pokemon, they'd get their asses handed to them at Lv. 50.

I know that. I'm just listing my options and use that to build my Elite Four team.

That's one way to look at it.

Isn't Close Combat a little risky since it lowers your stats?

Thanks for the warning.

Re: Kosuke

This is true, but Staraptor is fast enough to not have it matter. You'll outspeed a lot of things within the game, so you should be able to sweep. Besides, with mediocre and blah Defense and S Defense (respectively), it really shouldn't matter if you knock Staraptor down a defensive notch or two. One or two hits from a well-placed special move, and the bird's dead. Not that I don't like Staraptor. I really think it's the best bird I've used since Pidgeot. It's just that you really don't have to worry about Close Combat knocking down your defenses.

Oh. Okay. Thanks for clearing that up. *been avoiding self-stat-lowering moves since she first read about Overheat*

Re: Kosuke
Anytime.

As a side note, self-stat-lowering moves are actually okay in certain situations. It all really depends on the Pokemon and the strategy you're trying to use. For example, Overheat on Blaziken's perfectly kosher because Blaziken doesn't really use his Special Attack all that often, so Overheat is more of a quick hit when he encounters something his other moves just can't take down.

Curse, for another example, works on Snorlax because you're trying to turn him into a tank, even though it means making him slower than he would be if he didn't use Curse.

So, yeah, it just depends on what you're trying to do.

Actually, no. It should be the only way as that is the best team setup.

Well, considering you know the game from the inside out, I'll take your word for it and use those.

I'm currently flunking almost all my classes, I haven't started on my Magical Drop GWIC ep or my 100th video, I've been tired and stressed most of the week (mostly because of what happened on Monday), and I just feel like having some alone time. @_@

*hugs* Hang in there, Ida.
